The test result was false, an error!
The retest was kappa light chains….117mg/litre, more like it! The outside chance that the test was wrong I mentioned in my last post Falling off the plateau materialised.
Contrary to a myeloma friend of mine who thinks I don’t do short, that’s all I’ve got to say folks!

What amazing and bizarre news!
Made me start to wonder about my own relapse over a year ago… but then my friend reminded me that they did a bone marrow biopsy after the blood test. Phew!!! Imagine going through new treatment, another transplant, etc. and then to find out it wasn’t necessary?
It doesn’t bear thinking about, are you sure the bone marrow biopsy confirmed the relapse!!
No. LOL!
Go team Wendy 🙂 xxx

GREAT NEWS – wasn’t quite sure what to say about your last post Wendy – this latest one is much easier to respond to! – Great! Fantastic! wonderful!
LIKE. They regularly tell me that individual light chain readings are not very reliable, but now I will treat them with even more care! And you’d slightly scared me tat relapse could be so sudden and so without warning. I’ll relax again now.
Hi Alex, interesting that they tell you light chain readings are not reliable so what are you/they supposed to go on if you have light chain myeloma. I’ve been told to allow for 10% variations before but this was what, I cant do the maths but more like 1000% variation so obviously a mistake but sorry to tell you, relapse can be very sudden and without warning anyhow unfortunately but stay as relaxed as you can!
That is FANTASTICO!! I’ll give Roma a gravy bone to celebrate. Paris, here you come ……. So pleased for you. Gilly & Shaun xx
